When we first arrived in Northern Morocco, we were met with warmth that felt both familiar and new. Neighbors waved, strangers offered help, and smiles bridged the gaps between languages.
The people were kind and patient but even with that generosity, everything around us felt different, unfamiliar, and full of discovery.
I speak Arabic though it is clear I have never lived here. Still, that helped me connect, ask, and learn. My husband, however, did not, and through his eyes, I began to understand the real challenges of adapting from simple conversations to navigating daily life.
Our move was not easy. There were moments of joy and moments of uncertainty. But with time, patience, and kindness, we found our rhythm and built friendships and understanding along the way.
That experience, the mix of warmth, confusion, and growth inspired Realize Morocco.
